Capeless — Privacy Policy
One-thumb horde-survival roguelite starring original superheroes.
Summary
Capeless has no user accounts and no sign-in, and shows no advertising. We collect anonymous, aggregate gameplay analytics to fix bugs and balance the game, optional crash diagnostics where enabled, and — only after you choose a leaderboard name — an optional leaderboard entry. None of this is tied to your real identity.
Data stored on your device
- Game progress and unlocks (coins, heroes, stages, achievements, run history)
- Audio, haptics, and accessibility preferences
Data we collect
Anonymous gameplay analytics
Events such as which hero or stage was played, run length, cause of defeat, and upgrade choices. Tied only to a random install ID stored on your device — not to you, a hardware ID, or any account. Your IP address is discarded.
Crash diagnostics (where enabled)
Technical error details (message, code location) so we can fix crashes. Personal and request context is stripped before the report is sent.
Leaderboard entry (optional)
Only after you set a leaderboard name and play a daily challenge: the display name you choose (need not be real) plus that run's result. A random install ID is stored privately for abuse review; public reads omit it. Leave the name blank and nothing is submitted.
Advertising
No advertising, no ad SDKs, no in-app purchases.
Third parties
We do not sell or rent your data. Limited service providers may process data only to run the game:

Children
Capeless does not collect directly identifying account data — analytics and crash data are anonymous and the only leaderboard name is one the player freely chooses. It is intended for general audiences and designed to align with regulations such as COPPA and GDPR-K.
Your choices & data deletion
Clear the app's storage or uninstall to remove local data. To remove an optional leaderboard entry, contact us with the display name and approximate result.
Changes
We will update this policy as the game changes and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app and store listings where required.
